You can enjoy the atmosphere of a tea room while sitting on a chair.

*The wooden shelf, hearth frame, kettle, and other tea utensils are not included.
In a traditional tea ceremony, the host and guest sit face to face on tatami mats in a tea room, and the host serves kaiseki, koicha, and usucha. Kaiseki is a traditional course meal served at a tea ceremony, which includes rice, soup, fish, and Sake-alcohol. Koicha and usucha are two different types of tea. It is served with sweets.
However, after the Meiji era (1868-1912), a new style of tea ceremony was invented, called the ryurei-style, in which the master and guests or only the guests sit on chairs, and simplified forms of tea ceremonies became popular, such as serving only koicha and usucha, instead of the traditional full course tea ceremony.
Since the ryurei style table of tea ceremony was originally conceived to spread Japanese tea culture overseas, it has the advantage of making it easier to hold a tea ceremony in an informal manner without sitting on tatami mats or with a large number of people.
Therefore, most ryurei-style tables could not be used to perform the traditional tea ceremony as it is traditionally done in a tearoom. There are difficulties in conducting tea ceremonies in an atmosphere where the master and guests share one space, and in holding kaiseki or charcoal setting ceremonies, which contain a wealth of the essence of tea ceremonies that cannot be presented only with koicha or usucha.
You can easily experience the same tea ceremony as in a tearoom.

There have been several ryurei-style tables made in the past, but all of them are made of wood as the main material with the intention of being built-in, so they are heavy, require a lot of time for assembly and disassembly, and are not easy to store or transport.
For this reason, conventional products are not suitable for use by experienced tea ceremony practitioners who casually invite guests to their homes and enjoy entertaining them.
Stored compactly, Light, and easy to move.

*The wooden shelf, hearth frame, furnace stand, kettle, and other tea utensils are not included.
Much of the fun and essence of the tea ceremony is contained in the traditional tea ceremony, which is performed without simplification. I believe that this ryurei-style table, which allows you to easily experience this without going to a teahouse, will have a great effect on the inheritance and dissemination of the Japanese traditional culture of tea ceremony in its original form, and above all, on the enjoyment of it in modern life.
If you wanted to hold a tea ceremony easily, it was common sense to simplify the performance. Therefore, there has been no technological development in the direction of improving the large ryurei-style table to make it easier to use, which would facilitate the rich experience of the tea ceremony.
In recent years, there are more and more opportunities to hold tea ceremonies in the ryurei-style: sitting on chairs for foreigners and other inexperienced people who want to experience the tea ceremony and the elderly who have weakened legs and feet. How about using our products to invite them to an authentic tea ceremony that is easy to do?
It can accommodate up to five guests for a full-course tea ceremony with meals.

The "standard suite" model shown in the photo above can accommodate one master and five guests for a full-course tea ceremony with meals. For a simple tea ceremony with only tea and sweets, it can accommodate up to 8 guests.
